"The Intersection of Art and Tech" by V School at Craft Lake City
Have you ever thought about what art and tech have in common? It turns out a whole lot!
We're excited to invite you to visit us at the Craft Lake City DIY Fest this Friday, August 12, for a mind-blowing panel: "The Intersection of Art and Tech" by V School. If you're a creative person interested in entering the tech industry or just curious about how these two worlds collide, join V School at the DIY Fest!
Meet our panelists:
Laney Kawaguchi, Director of Outcomes at V School
Laney is a V School alumna who completed a Software Engineering Internship at Adobe and then became an Analytics Engineer at Admind. Currently, Laney works as the Director of Outcomes at V School helping others transition into the tech field. Outside of work she enjoys DJing, dancing, and spending time with her family and cats.
Ben Turner Senior Software Engineer at Skedulo
Ben graduated from the University of Utah in 2014 with a degree in philosophy. As a former welder and touring musician, he decided to go for a major career switch and learn how to code. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Skedulo, based in Brisbane, Australia. He is fascinated by the similarities between coding and other art forms such as music. He still plays guitar and spends his free time hiking, playing basketball, and reading.
The panel will take place at the Google Fiber Stem Building at the DIY Festival on Friday 12 August 6PM - 7PM.
